She feels so delighted when customers approach her to buy a gift for making someone else happy. That’s what Zeinab,55, does because she owns a small shop where she sells crochet products, flowers and decorated baskets. She is married with one boy and one girl. Her daughter, aged 28 graduated from the faculty of commerce. Her son aged 25 works in a petroleum station.  Her husband works as a security guard in a factory. Zeinab holds a Bachelor Degree of Commerce.

She moved a few years later from her small shop to a bigger one and was able to add more variety of products. She is selling now kid’s toys, make up, perfumes, household products and gift boxes. She goes weekly to El Darasa and Haret EL Yahood districts to buy toys, perfumes, make up and raw material needed for the hand made products including thread, needles, baskets and flowers. She produces every week around 10 flower bouquet, 3 decorated baskets and 10 crochet products such as mobile holder and table cover.

Zeinab Joined Al Tadamun Microfinance Foundation in 2008 and renewed her loan when she heard about Al Tadamun’s new individual loan product. Her enthusiasm doesn’t stop at her project, because she participated in many exhibitions through El Osar El Montega Association, through which she was able to gain regular clients.  She also created a Facebook page as a new marketing channel for her products. The best seasons for her products are Mother’s day, Valentine, the holy month of Ramadan and the two Bairams.
